The Pacific Acres Estate development in Bundaberg was approved on the condition that the development will upgrade the intersection of Innes Park Rd / Spinnaker Blvd, a state-owned road corridor by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR). MVPH was contracted by the private developer to widen the pavement and add turning pockets at the intersection to cope with the additional traffic forecasted with the development.
The project’s environmental controls, traffic management, earthworks, unsuitable replacement, subgrade treatment, pavement works, bitumen seal, line marking and signage works were all carried out to TMR specification and TMR inspectors’ satisfaction. The private developer’s bond money held by TMR was returned favorably at the completion of the project and defect period.
